27.09.2007 APLR Website is the Winner of 2007 National Website Competition

Website www.aplr.org  has won the 2007 National Website Competition in the category of governmental, non-governmental and regional resources. The competition was organized by ITDC and Newspaper Navigator and sponsored by MagtiCom LTD.

 

More then 1500 Georgian websites created within the last year participated in the competition. The winners were revealed by the 7-member jury composed of internet professionals. Design and content of the sites, their importance for the society, navigation parameters, stylistic unanimity, number of visitors, technologies used in web programming were among the criteria used by the jury in the process of site valuation.

 

In the category of governmental, non-governmental and regional resources second place was awarded to www.tushetipa.ge  – the site of Tusheti Protected Areas Administration, and the third place to www.batumi.ge  – the site of Batumi Municipality.

 

The winners were also named in the following sectors: information resources, culture and education, corporate websites, resources for children, electronic services and commerce, and entertainment.

 

Apart from the first three prizes, the top ten sites were named in all said categories. The winners were awarded special diplomas and certificates.
