18.07.2007 Local Municipalities Cooperate with APLR

Within the scope of the contracts concluded with the local municipalities APLR shall prepare detailed cadastral plans for the state-owned agricultural land parcels subject to privatization.

After the privatization plans had been prepared and approved by local Sakrebulos, Ministry of Economic Development and Ministry of Environment Protection, it became necessary to register at Public Registry those parcels that are to be sold at special and open auctions. For registration of these parcels local Sakrebulos are responsible to ensure preparation of detailed cadastral plans.

Notably, that APLR prepared free of charge privatization plans within the frame of USAID Land Market Development Project for more than 500 Sakrebulos in various regions of Georgia. State owned lands, both leased and non-leased, were depicted on privatization plans.

Taking into consideration wide experience and high quality of cadastral works implemented by APLR, local self government bodies continue collaboration with APLR in order to accelerate privatization process and ensure designing of cadastral plans in a short period of time.

Apart from preparation of detailed cadastral plans, in certain rayons APLR also carries out renovation of privatization plans. In particular, land parcels initially not depicted on privatization plans, as well as leased land parcels currently subject to privatization at an open auction are to be depicted on the plans.

As of today APLR signed contracts with more then 15 local municipalities in Samegrelo, Imereti and Khakheti regions. Works specified by the contracts should be completed by autumn of this year.
