12.06.2007 APLR Helped Italian Company Ferrero to Purchase Land for Nut Plantations

APLR provided legal and technical support to Italian company Ferrero to purchase more then 1200 ha of state-owned agricultural land in Samegrelo region, West Georgia. The purchased land is owned by AgriGeorgia LTD, local branch of Ferrero.

In cooperation with Ferrero, APLR shall also carry out topographic surveys on the purchased land parcels, on which Ferrero plans to cultivate nut plantations in accordance with modern standards used in agriculture.

Ferrero, a privately-owned confectionery manufacturer, well known for its brands, such as Raffaello, Nutella, Kinder Chocolate etc. intends to invest in Georgia EUR 6 million this year in nut plantations. Ferrero plans to create new jobs for the local population and export nut produced in Georgia for its production in Italy.
