31.05.2007 Marneuli Legal Consultative Center Extends its Activities


Since May 1 APLR Marneuli Legal Consultative Center offers local population and private companies titling services, advocacy at courts and resolution of problematic issues with state and private institutions together with free legal consultations and mediation.

Presentation of the new services of Marneuli Legal Consultative Center was held on May 31 at Marneuli Gamgeoba Building, which was attended by the representative of local population, governmental agencies, banks and private companies.

It was mentioned at the presentation that any interested individual or private company can get legal services such as identification of land and property owners/users, procurement and analyses of relevant documentation, submission of application and essential documentation to the public registry, obtaining ownership certificate of real property; advocacy at the courts of any instance; as well as mediation services to settle various disputes by means of solicitation with state and private institutions.

Since the expansion of the services of the Center both local population and private companies are able to resolve land and other property related problems and get qualified advocacy in a short period of time at a low costs.

Noteworthy that Marneuli Legal Consultative Center has been set up a year ago under the financial support of OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities and Canadian International Development Agency. Within the year of its existence the Center provided legal assistance to more than 800 individuals with respect to land related and other issues and for finding solutions to these problems together with local authorities.

A free-of-charge mobile hotline is available for local communities to report any complaints, problems or violations and solicit feedback and advice.
