29.12.2006 Law on Privatization of State-owned Agricultural Land has been Amended

On December 29 the parliament of Georgia amended the Law of Georgia on Privatization of Agricultural Land Remaining in State Ownership. According to this amendment the leased pastures, as well as pastures attached to the buildings in private ownership of physical or legal persons or to the state-owned buildings are subject to privatization.

As a result of the above amendment those physical and legal persons, who have purchased the farm buildings from the state, can now become the owners of pastures around their farms.
