Project Abstract:

Following the development of modern and efficient land cadastre and registration system in Georgia, further works are carried out to make this system more perfect and create unified electronic geoinformation databases covering all territories of the country. For today, it is necessary to verify and convert existing paper versions of cadastral information kept at registration offices of the National Agency of Public Registry into electronic format.

Association for Protection of Landowners’ Rights, based on the contract signed with NAPR, ensures collection, specification and digitalization of cadastral information for the city of Mestia. APLR GIS specialists, based on satellite orthophotos, are digitalizing paper versions of existing cadastral information on agricultural and non-agricultural land parcels and check information on the owners of these parcels on sites; field cadastral surveys are carried out, maps prepared and data on landowners collected for those living houses, residential parcels and farming lands adjacent to the city of Mestia on which cadastral information are now unavailable.

As a result of the above works, respective database for more than 2000 land parcels and electronic map for the city of Mestia is created and transferred to NAPR for integration into unified geoinformation databases of the country.
