Project Abstract:

 

Improved business environment in Georgia leads to the growth of both foreign and local investments in the country. As of today Georgian private companies are actively involved in current economic developments and try to carry out large-scale projects that are particularly important for the country.

 

Georgian company Anaklia Port LTD plans to lead construction of rail route between Zugdidi and Anaklia to be incorporated into Transcaucasian main railway line, as well as to build the port in Anaklia, at the Enguri river estuary, which shall become one of the most important ports on Black Sea and be able to receive large ocean ships.

 

In order to purchase land parcels within the potential construction corridor, the company contracted APLR to ensure technical assistance for acquisition of state-owned and private land parcels.

 

Within the scope of the project APLR identifies both state and privately owned land parcels, as well as private owners within the potential construction corridor, prepares cadastral plans for state-owned parcels and creates respective database, agrees with territorial bodies of the Ministry of Economic Development on the land parcels available for privatization and ensures registration of these parcels at public registry.

 

Project implementation supports development of regional infrastructure and transport corridor linking Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, as well as facilitates the growth of cargos transferred trough the territory of Georgia and increase of the revenues of the country.
