Project Abstract:

 

For the development of land cadastre in Georgia WB Land Registration Unit carried out cadastral works in Gardabani rayon several years ago. Graphical data have not been updated since their transference to Gardabani registration office. There are no digital maps for the land parcels for certain areas of Gardanabi, including Tskhneti, village near the capital of Georgia. Geographical coordinates are not indicated on existing printed maps for Tskhneti territory and it is impossible to specify location of  the parcels and  integrate them into unified database.

 

National Agency of Public Registry contracted Association for Protection of Landowners’ Rights to correct and update existing data. Within the scope of the project  APLR studies documentation related to privately owned agricultural land parcels on the territory of Tskhneti,  identifies owners, their addresses and contact information. APLR GIS specialists specify land parcels on site and  prepare both printed and electronic maps  in agreement with private owners. Based on field surveys, digital maps and orthophotos  update and topological correction of  geodesic basis is ensured. As a result the client gets databases  for privately owned agricultural land parcels on the territory of Tskhneti.

 

Project implementation contributes to the creation of unified geoinformation databases for the entire territory of Georgia.
